Associate Systems EngineerLocation: Sterling Heights, MIPay: $35–$39/hourWork Type: OnsiteSchedule: 9/80 Work ScheduleOverview:Seeking an Associate Systems Engineer to support the integration, build, verification, and delivery of military vehicle platforms including Abrams, Stryker, XM30, and other defense programs. This role focuses on prototype vehicle builds, system integration, cross-functional coordination, and problem resolution.Key Responsibilities:Lead developmental projects as System Integration Engineer for prototype and customer vehicle deliveriesDevelop and maintain prototype/mockup build schedulesExecute fabrication and vehicle build plansAssist with prototype hardware procurement and initiate shop work ordersServe as primary interface between engineering teams and prototype shopSupport vehicle-level integration, verification, and issue resolutionDirect mechanics during subsystem installation using engineering models and drawingsMonitor Bill of Materials (BOM) maturity and Engineering Release PlansTrack material receipts and resolve "late to need" shortagesGenerate Engineering Problem Reports for fabrication, installation, or functionality issuesRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in EngineeringStrong technical writing and presentation skillsStrong communication, teamwork, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and in cross-functional teamsAbility to work evenings/weekends or overtime when requiredPreferred Skills:Experience with Teamcenter, Vis Mockup, and Oracle systemsPrior experience with ground combat vehicles or defense programsExperience in prototype builds, vehicle integration, or manufacturing supportAbility to work in and around military vehicles (ASR test may apply)Why Join CPI?For over 40 years, Contract Professionals, Inc.
