JOB TITLE: 2026 Lifeguards Seasonal Employees (T.R. White Sportsplex & Westwood Community Center) DEPARTMENT: PARKS & RECREATION RATE OF PAY $15.00/hr JOB SUMMARY: The City of Jackson is now accepting applications for Lifeguards part-time/seasonal positions at the Westwood Community Center. Season begins mid-May and continues through first week of August. All lifeguard positions start at $15 per hour. REQUIREMENTS 16 Years Old (minimum) Current Lifeguard Certification Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of an emergency. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service. Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
