Senior Multifamily Asset Manager
Position Overview:Demonstrate command of all aspects of asset management by applying operational expertise towards the maximization of investment returns and growth of the business. Communicate clearly and effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Operational OversightOversee third-party management teams across markets and product types to ensure exceptional quality of asset operations, leasing, maintenance, reporting, and capital improvement projects when appropriate, in alignment with the firm’s strategy and operational excellenceFocus on continuously improving asset NOI and overall asset value in the marketplaceTrack key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide data-driven insights to guide leasing, asset management, underwriting, and acquisitionsDemonstrate expertise in multifamily asset management, covering all aspects from physical operations to financial performanceFinancial & Budget ManagemenMonitortMonitor property-level operating expense statements, budgets, and financial reporting to identify risks and opportunities as well as enable accurate reporting and forecasting.Refine and automate reporting procedures to provide strategic insights and drive efficiency.Implement best practices to improve operational effectiveness, leveraging technology and system enhancementsLeasing & Market StrategyCollaborate with a range of stakeholders to manage the lease-up of large multifamily assets in gateway marketsStay apprised of multifamily market trends and competitive properties to better inform asset strategies and market positioning for the portfolioPartner with marketing teams to drive demand, enhance brand positioning, and maximize leasing performanceCapital Planning & Asset Value EnhancementEvaluate, propose, and monitor the strategic capital expenditure plans in collaboration with property, asset, and portfolio management teams to enhance asset valueCollaborate with property, asset, and portfolio management teams on capital projects and long-term reinvestment strategiesMaximize property values through operational efficiencies and strategic improvementsStakeholder Communication & ReportingServe as the key liaison between property management and ownership, ensuring transparency and alignmentProvide executive-level reports on asset performance, challenges, and opportunitiesContribute to quarterly reports, annual business plans, and budget developmentAcquisition & Transaction ContributionsParticipate in the acquisition and development process by conducting regional and sub-market researchAdvise on underwritten financial assumptions to support investment/acquisition decisionsInterface with senior management, lenders, appraisers, brokers, and third parties regarding asset and market performancePeopleWork collaboratively with various stakeholders to deliver on identified strategies for the portfolio of assetsFoster a culture of innovation, collaboration, performance, and customer serviceManage self and contribute to team cohesiveness through open communication, collaboration, and knowledge sharing aligned with the firm’s values and expectationsExperience:We have an opportunity for a well-rounded, experienced Senior Asset Manager whose current or prior responsibilities have included managing of third-party property management teams, including direct management of equity investments in multi-family assets.
