Job Summary
The Safety Coordinator supports and maintains a safe working environment in a production facility. This role assists with implementing and enforcing safety programs, conducting safety audits, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct daily safety assessments on the production floor
Address safety questions and concerns from employees
Investigate accidents and near misses; implement corrective actions
Create weekly safety communications and safety incentive initiatives
Assist with Workers’ Compensation and OSHA compliance
Manage safety assessments, follow‑ups, and audits (HSEQ program)
Assist with safety training, orientations, and refresher courses
Support the Safety Committee and emergency drills
Assist with audiograms, fit testing, and respiratory evaluations
Coordinate with outside agencies and contractors
Translate safety documents to Spanish as needed
Perform administrative and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing facility
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently
Dependable, detail‑oriented, and professional
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Regular presence on the production floor and in an office setting
Exposure to noise, temperature changes, wet areas, and slick floors
Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform physical movements such as bending, climbing, and reaching
Pay: $27.50 per hour
