Hematology/Oncology Physician A well-established oncology practice in Southeast Alabama is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hematology/Oncology Physician to join a growing team. This opportunity offers the ability to work within a comprehensive cancer program that provides medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, infusion services, and supportive care in one centralized location. The incoming physician will join two experienced Hematology/Oncology physicians and help meet growing patient demand across a large regional referral network. The organization is actively seeking two physicians, with an urgent need for at least one provider to begin this year. Practice Highlights Join an established team of 2 Hematology/Oncology physicians Practice includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities Shared hospital call schedule of 1:3 Clinic space conveniently connected to the cancer center No travel between facilities required On-site radiation oncology services available for collaboration Outpatient chemotherapy administration services 21 infusion treatment rooms Dedicated inpatient oncology units staffed by certified oncology nurses Access to specialized cancer rehabilitation services Affiliation with a leading academic cancer care network Advanced cancer treatment technology and equipment Responsibilities Diagnose and treat patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions Provide both inpatient and outpatient care Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatment plans Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain clinical care standards Support a patient-centered approach to cancer care delivery Participate in shared call coverage Required Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Completion of an ACGME-accredited Hematology/Oncology fellowship (completed or in progress) Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology Board Certification in Internal Medicine through ABIM Active Alabama medical license and DEA registration, or ability to obtain both Preferred Qualifications Experience working in both inpatient and outpatient oncology settings Strong interest in collaborative, multidisciplinary cancer care Excellent communication and leadership skills Key Skills Required Hematology/Oncology clinical expertise Patient care coordination Multidisciplinary collaboration Chemotherapy treatment planning Clinical leadership Quality improvement Benefits $100,000 signing bonus Malpractice coverage with tail CME allowance Professional dues reimbursement Student loan repayment options through PSLF eligibility On-site fitness center Comprehensive medical benefits Retirement package Why This Location?
