Duties
Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, including oral, topical, and IV medications
Assist with medication intake and verification processes to ensure proper patient identification and medication matching
Support critical care and hospital pharmacy operations by managing sterile compounding using aseptic techniques for IV infusions and other parenteral therapies
Maintain meticulous records of medication administration, inventory levels, and medication logs in compliance with regulatory standards
Provide exceptional patient service by answering medication-related questions and coordinating with healthcare providers for timely medication delivery
Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of medications in accordance with safety protocols
Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient care initiatives, including medication reconciliation and intake procedures
Experience
Previous pharmacy technician experience in hospital or acute care settings is highly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology relevant to pharmacy operations and patient care
Experience working with LTC pharmacy systems or in critical care environments is a plus
Skilled in aseptic technique for sterile compounding and IV infusion preparation
Familiarity with medication administration processes within hospital settings
Strong understanding of pharmacy operations related to intake, inventory management, and medication safety protocols
Certification as a pharmacy technician (e.g., CPhT) is desirable but not mandatory; ongoing training opportunities are available for growth

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
