Sales Helper
The primary function of Sales Helper is to assist the Sales Representative.Essential Duties & Responsibilities Are Traveling with a sales rep in the delivery truck and assisting sales rep in the operationof the truck; Assist the sales rep in making sales, merchandising, displaying and tending the productwhile it is in the stores, and picking up distressed merchandise and all used trays. Assist the sales rep in delivering goods pursuant to sales made and orders obtained,ensuring that the goods are properly displayed and tended; Assist the sales rep in safely transporting goods for sale and equipment, including (a)ensuring that the sales rep stays alert, (b) pointing out hazards and obstacles to the salesrep, (c) assisting the sales rep in operating the vehicle safely by directing him or her inparking, pulling out into traffic, backing up, placing safety cones and the like, asnecessary; Assist in the loading and unloading of plants and to ensure that the truck is safely andproperly loaded and that all goods and equipment are secure, exercising discretion andjudgment in planning and loading a balanced load to ensure safe operations; Performing or assisting the sales rep in performing minor maintenance on the deliverytruck to ensure safe operation; Assist the sales rep in ensuring compliance with all Department of Transportation rulesand regulations, including assisting with paperwork, to the extent permitted and asnecessary; Assist with rack preparation, including, but not limited to, painting and installation; It is the Sales Helper’s responsibility to always be on time, enthusiastic, presentableand respectful. You should expect the same from your supervisor. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met byan employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employeemust be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, climb, sit, bend, stoop, and reacharms over head. Employee must be able to work in environmental conditions such as:wet, humid weather and extreme hot and cold temperatures. Employee must be able totolerate loud noise and vibrations from driving/riding a truck. The Sales Helper must accurately record all hours worked in the electronictimekeeping system on a daily basis.
