By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, write, and debug CMM inspection programs for complex manufactured parts.Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and CAD models to define measurement strategies.Select appropriate probes, fixtures, and measurement techniques to ensure accurate data collection.Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process, and final product measurements.Analyze measurement data, identify non-conformances, and generate detailed inspection reports.Troubleshoot and resolve CMM program, hardware, and software related issues.Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to optimize inspection processes and part quality.Recommended Qualifications3+ years of hands-on experience programming CMMs in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency with CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).Expert-level understanding and application of GD&T principles.Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and 3D CAD models.Strong knowledge of metrology best practices, measurement techniques, and probe calibration.Bonus QualificationsExperience with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners, optical comparators).Proficiency in CAD design/modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA).Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis.Fixture design or fabrication experience for CMM applications.Job Titles That Should ApplyCMM Programmer, Metrology Engineer, CMM Quality Engineer, Dimensional Metrologist, CMM Operator, Measurement Engineer, Quality Inspector (CMM), CNC CMM Programmer, Metrology Programmer, Quality Control MetrologistWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
