Equity Trader

The Informed Momentum Company (IMC), an institutional asset manager that was formed in 2007 and is headquartered in Solana Beach, California. IMC is dedicated to delivering the highest quality of service for institutional clients through our proprietary Informed Momentum® investment approach.About the RoleWe are looking for a hands-on trader to execute trades and contribute to our equity strategies. Prior trading and operational experience in financial services is a strong plus.Key Responsibilities:Execute equity trades (long/short, global, including non-U.S. markets) across multiple brokers and venues with precision and efficiencyMonitor and optimize trade implementation, including order routing, best execution, and minimizing market impact and transaction costsCollaborate closely with portfolio managers to implement strategy signals, rebalances, and position adjustments in real timeMonitor front office reconciliations and be the first point of contact on resolutions.Support brokerage and commission tracking.Contribute to trading process improvements, technology enhancements, and risk controlsStay informed on market microstructure, liquidity, and regulatory developments affecting global equitiesQualifications:High integrity, strong work ethic, and passion for equity markets and investingDirect experience trading equities is preferred and or prior operational/middle-office experience in asset management, hedge funds, or related fieldsDetail-oriented with excellent analytical skills and ability to perform under time pressureFamiliarity with trading platforms, order management systems (OMS), Bloomberg, FIX protocol, and Excel; programming/scripting skills a plusWhat We OfferOpportunity to trade and impact real portfolios at a growing, high-conviction institutional manager with a proven process and philosophyCollaborative environment with experienced portfolio managers and a flat corporate structureCompetitive compensation including base, performance bonus, and benefitsTo apply, please send your resume and cover letter to resumes@informedmo.com.
