A strong background in customer service is preferred.This Legal Assistant will work alongside our Sr. Executive Assistant and must be able to work both independently and as a team to provide assistance for the firm and to all of the attorneys. Duties will include:• Providing administrative assistance, such as writing and editing e-mails, drafting memos, and preparing communications on the partners’ behalf• Managing the partners’ calendar, including making appointments and prioritizing the most sensitive matters• Depositing checks and processing payments• Answering phone calls in a polite and professional manner• Organizing meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and organizing catering when necessary• Welcoming visitors and identifying the purpose of their visit before directing them to the appropriate office• Performing other administrative duties as they arise.The detail-oriented candidate should also possess the following qualifications:• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Adobe programs, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.• Polished communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written• Excellent customer service and telephone skills• Critical thinking• Have at least an associate’s degree• Be able to maintain the security of confidential informationApplicants should have a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar setting. Employment offers are contingent upon passing a complete background check and signing a non-disclosure agreement.Start date: As soon as possible.Compensation will be determined based on prior experience.This role reports directly to the Sr. Executive Assistant.
