Construction Project Manager
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for managing field
operations and contract administration for construction projects from pre-
construction through completion and turnover. This role ensures projects are
delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all
technical, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Support cost estimating and scheduling during project development.
Provide field input to track and report schedule and budget performance during construction.
Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and monthly cost-to-complete
projections.
Review construction plans for constructability, access, and long-term maintenance considerations.
Work closely with the city.
Manage daily field operations, including safety, personnel, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and scheduling.
Partner with contract Project Engineers.
Coordinate technical reviews, QA/QC inspections, and construction issue resolution.
Lead the punch list process and manage project turnover from construction through commissioning to operations.
Identify and mitigate risks related to scope, cost, schedule, and field conditions.
Review and administer contracts, including change requests, directives, and payment applications.
Identify potential change orders and manage scope, cost, and schedule impacts.
Prepare weekly construction progress reports.
Work with GIS analyst and utility locators to identify and document underground utilities prior to excavation.
Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships to control risk, performance, and cost exposure.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support successful project delivery.
