Flight Operations ManagerCommercial UAS OperationsTexas, US (Hybrid)Airbotics Talent are supporting an established commercial UAS operator delivering aerial operations and field services across industrial and infrastructure environments throughout the United States.As part of continued operational growth, the organisation is seeking a Flight Operations Manager to support and scale day-to-day flight operations, pilot coordination and operational oversight across multiple active project environments.This is a permanent leadership appointment suited to someone with strong operational discipline, FAA regulatory understanding and previous experience managing commercial UAS field operations.The RoleThis is a hands-on operational leadership role responsible for coordinating flight operations activities across active field deployments and customer projects.The successful candidate will oversee operational planning, pilot coordination, deployment readiness, safety compliance and ongoing operational execution across multiple operational regions.The role will work closely with pilots, field teams and executive leadership to ensure operations are executed safely, efficiently and in line with FAA requirements and internal operational procedures.This position combines operational leadership, field coordination and regulatory oversight within a fast-moving commercial UAS environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate day-to-day commercial UAS flight operations across active field deploymentsManage pilot scheduling, operational readiness and deployment planning across multiple projectsSupport FAA operational compliance activities including airspace coordination and regional authorization processesOversee operational procedures, safety standards and flight operations documentationAct as a central operational point of contact between pilots, project teams and leadershipMonitor operational performance, identify bottlenecks and support continuous operational improvementCoordinate equipment allocation, operational logistics and field deployment readinessSupport training, onboarding and development of operational personnelMaintain high operational and safety standards across all flight activitiesAssist with development and scaling of operational workflows, SOPs and flight operations processesThe PersonApplicants should bring previous experience within commercial drone operations, aviation operations or field-based operational leadership environments.The ideal candidate will bring:Active FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot CertificateExperience coordinating or managing commercial UAS flight operationsStrong understanding of FAA operational compliance and airspace authorization processesPrevious experience supporting pilot teams and field deployments within operational environmentsAbility to operate within fast-paced field operations and evolving project environmentsStrong communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple operational priorities simultaneouslyHands-on leadership approach with strong operational problem-solving capabilityExperience within infrastructure inspection, industrial operations, utilities or aerial data environments would be advantageousThis appointment offers the opportunity to play a key operational leadership role within a growing commercial UAS platform supporting large-scale field deployments across multiple regions.Our client is progressing this hire with urgency.
