The ideal candidate brings content knowledge, is collaborative, and has a genuine enthusiasm for working with young adolescents.Responsibilities• Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in Social Studies & ELA to students in the 8th-grade• Use data to inform instructional decisions and support student growth• Collaborate with grade-level teams to support student learning, behavior, and well-being• Communicate proactively with families and maintain accurate records in the gradebook• Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and team meetingsQualifications• Bachelor's degree required; Maine educator certification required or anticipated by start date• Eligible for Maine certification in at least one of the following:o English Language Arts (100) and/or Social Studies (200) under Middle Level Teacher (5 8) or Secondary Teacher (6 12)o Elementary Teacher (020) K 8 endorsement• Experience working with middle school students preferred• Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skillsTo Apply
