Controls Project Engineer

*Warehouse Management (WM) is must.* *Siemens TIA Portal* What You Do In This Role: * Participates in the design of semi-complex systems that integrate hardware and software. * Write *PLC *code for semi-complex systems utilizing standard practices. * Provides support in semi-complex material specification, schematic preparation, bill-of-materials development, and appropriate follow-up. * Participates in recommending ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction. * Independently run semi-complex projects through the project life cycle, including all design, documentation, and forecasting. * Assist in complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system design. * Troubleshoot programming and electrical issues that arise on site. * Interact directly with the customer on site. What We Are Looking For: * Current hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers. Expertise with Allen Bradley, Schneider Unity, or *Siemens TIA Portal* required. * Must demonstrate a working understanding of design, layout and use of current networks such as Profibus, ASi, and Ethernet. * Experience in writing descriptions of operations and developments of controls based physical layouts is expected. * Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical preferred. * Demonstrated ability to manage numerous opportunities and deadlines. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Current experience with the rigors of on-site startup/commissioning. * Experience with material handling systems is preferred. * 4-8 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of responsibilities as presented above. * Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable * Bachelor's Degree or equal in a related discipline Job Type: Contract Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Experience: * Warehouse Management: 2 years (Preferred) * Siemens TIA Portal: 2 years (Preferred) * PLC code: 2 years (Preferred) Work Location: On the road
