Traveling - Service Technician
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated, experienced individual to join our team as a Field Service Technician. As a Field Service Technician with our company, you travel to worksites across the U.S. to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections of our Door and Window Systems. Our ideal candidate is willing to travel, and has experience with problem solving and on construction sites. You should also feel comfortable operating power and hand tools, and clear communication to clients and contractors.
Job Duties
Deliver excellent in-home (site) window service experience, ensuring customer satisfaction with replacement product and process
Perform all job responsibilities with great presentation and follow through
Visit customer locations on a regular schedule and perform planned and unplanned in-home window or sash replacements and repairs
Check window/sash installations to ensure proper operation, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction
Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solution
Produce timely and detailed service reports
Document processes
Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems
Must be able to travel over night
Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols
Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
Build positive relationships with customers
Perform service on Panoramic Doors
Job Qualifications
Two years of manufacturing experience in a production or quality related field
High School degree or equivalent
Experience with electrical troubleshooting
Mechanical aptitude Professional attitude
Energetic and flexible Safety focused
Ability to identify additional tasks to be completed and willing to assist other
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Continuous training and development program
Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving history
Possesses the ability to understand and communicate clearly
Demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail
Possesses a high degree of organizational skill and has the ability to plan and coordinate
Must be able to lift 80 pounds
Must be able to stand for long periods
