This per diem role is ideal if you Want to pick up shifts that fit your life Prefer higher take-home pay instead of benefits Are comfortable with variable hours and fast-paced work Like the option to earn more by covering evenings, nights, weekends, and hard-to-fill shifts Who This Role Is Best For Radiology Technologists who want maximum flexibility Techs who are okay with no guaranteed hours Those who prefer extra pay instead of benefits Professionals who enjoy trauma-level acuity and variety Techs looking to supplement income or balance other commitments Per Diem Availability Expectations To maintain per diem status, technologists must be available to: Work at least 3 shifts per month Cover 1 holiday per year Pick up 2 call shifts per month Pay & Differentials Base hourly pay: $41.67 - $58.31 Actual rate depends on experience, education, and collective bargaining agreement 15% differential in lieu of benefits Shift differentials Evening: +$2.50/hr Night: +$5.00/hr Weekend: +$1.00/hr More opportunities to earn by picking up hard-to-fill shifts About the Role & Setting Per Diem / Relief role 0.00 FTE with variable scheduling Work at a Level 2 Trauma Center Fast-paced environment with strong clinical exposure Supported by a collaborative, professional imaging team Union-represented position (multiple openings may be filled from this posting) What You'll Do Perform diagnostic X-ray exams for inpatients, outpatients, trauma, and ED patients Complete portable exams in patient rooms and clinical areas Assist with surgical imaging when needed Position patients accurately for clear imaging results Select the correct imaging settings for each exam Follow radiation safety and infection prevention practices Check for pregnancy when required before exams Review patient history and prior images to guide the exam Explain procedures to patients in simple, reassuring terms Adapt quickly when patient needs or conditions change Support physicians and clinical teams with timely imaging Help train students or staff when assigned Minimum Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Students or recent grads may be considered) Experience 1 year of experience preferred Familiarity with PACS/RIS systems required Licenses & Certifications ARRT (R) required (or ARRT-eligible with certification within 6 months) Oregon Radiologic Technologist license required OBMI temporary license accepted at hire BLS required upon hire Ready to Take Control of Your Schedule and Earnings?
