Senior Azure Cloud Native Java DeveloperLocation: Wabash, Chicago, ILExperience: 10–15 YearsJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Cloud Native Java Developer with 10–15 years of overall IT experience, including a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure cloud-native development. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Azure services, and Cosmos DB, with a proven ability to build highly scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native applications.This role requires excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, along with the ability to leverage GenAI/Copilot tools to accelerate development and improve delivery efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications using Java and Azure technologies.Build and manage applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.Develop solutions utilizing Azure Cosmos DB for high-performance, distributed data management.Implement cloud-native design principles, including microservices, containerization, and Kubernetes orchestration.Leverage GenAI/Copilot tools to enhance development productivity and delivery quality.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth application deployment and release coordination.Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance in Azure environments.Follow DevOps and CI/CD best practices for efficient software delivery.Engage with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical guidance.Required Skills10–15 years of overall IT experience.Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).Strong expertise in Java development.Extensive experience with Azure cloud services and cloud-native engineering.Hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB.Strong understanding of microservices architecture, Kubernetes, and containerized applications.Experience building highly scalable, resilient, and secure cloud applications.Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Experience using GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or other GenAI development tools.Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.Strong stakeholder management and collaboration abilities.Preferred SkillsExperience with Azure DevOps.Knowledge of cloud security best practices.Familiarity with modern software architecture patterns and distributed systems.If you're passionate about building next-generation cloud-native solutions on Azure and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.
