About the Role We are hiring a New Business Sales Representative to help prospective clients adopt a pooled employer retirement plan, catered specifically for their industry. This role is well-suited for a developing sales professional who has experience with retirement products and wants to grow their consultative selling skills. You will work with retirement plan operators to help them understand their retirement plan options and guide them through a clear, structured sales process that leads to a unique and innovative retirement offering. You will be supported by a collaborative team with clear expectations, while still owning your day-to-day work. What You Will Do Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets through a proactive strategy to acquire new retirement plan clients. Proactively identify and engage prospective clients through networking, referrals, and warm and cold direct outreach to retirement plan operators, HR professionals, CFOs, and plan sponsors. Build sales presentations in PowerPoint that tell a story. Consult with organizations to assess their existing retirement plan and present industry-specific solutions that align with their fiduciary obligations and objectives. Maintain an active pipeline and track sales performance metrics using CRM tools to drive consistent new business growth. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, including investment advisors, compliance specialists, and plan administrators, to support sales efforts and deliver a seamless client experience, always seeking net new business opportunities. Present the benefits of a pooled employer plan (PEP) in a clear, concise and practical manner. Manage opportunities through the early stages of the sales cycle with guidance and support. Collect data points from the Form 5500 and compose presentations in preparation for sales discovery calls. Track outreach, pipeline, and next steps accurately in a CRM. Work closely with nationwide teammates and vendors across sales, operations, tech and client success to ensure smooth onboarding for new clients. Cultivate warm client relationships in preparation for discovery calls with the broader sales team. Actively participate in industry events, networking opportunities, and marketing initiatives to increase brand visibility and attract new clients. What We Are Looking For A positive attitude and a winsome personality. 3+ year experience selling retirement plans or related financial products. Early-career to mid-level sales experience, including prospecting and closing. Comfort using CRM tools; HubSpot experience is a plus. Confident building sales presentations in PowerPoint. A data driven expert who can mine for meaning in customer-specific data sets. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment. Team-oriented mindset with a positive, professional attitude. Clear communication skills and attention to detail.
