Job Summary and Responsibilities* Preferred candidate reside in Arizona due to a one week mandatory onsite training in Prescott, AZ. This is a fully remote position after training period*The Medical Receptionist is the first point of service for our patients coming into the practice and is responsiblefor greeting, registering and scheduling patient appointments. Responsible for verifying insurance eligibility andbenefits. Collects co-payments and obtains routine financial information from various sources to obtain paymentplan arrangements and Medicare coverage. He/she also answers the phone and acts as a primary source ofinformation to patients in the waiting area.Performs various clerical duties to include: Maintain departmental deposit logs, prepare routine schedules and reports, utilize analytical skills necessary to maintain provider schedulesAnswers the telephone in a pleasant and helpful mannerCoordinate patient movement, reports problems or irregularitiesWorking knowledge of multi-line phonesJob RequirementsRequiredHigh School Graduate General/GEDBasic computer skills.
