Professional Analysis Inc. (PAI) is seeking an Operations Specialist to grow into accounting, trade compliance, or logistics roles. This position is non-remote and is located at the PAI Headquarters in Alexandria, VA.The Operations Specialist will support the company's financial and logistics operations by performing routine accounts receivable functions while assisting with export documentation and compliance activities. This role is 60% focused on Accounts Receivable and 40% on Export Clerk responsibilities. The position is ideal for an entry-level candidate seeking experience in finance and international logistics within a regulated business environment.Key ResponsibilitiesGenerate, review, and distribute customer invoices in accordance with contract termsPrepare customer payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers) accurately and timelyReconcile customer accounts and resolve basic billing discrepanciesMaintain accounts receivable aging reports and assist with collections follow-upsVerify pricing, quantities, and supporting documentation prior to invoicingAssist with month-end close activities related to accounts payableMaintain organized electronic and physical financial recordsCommunicate professionally with customers regarding invoice status and payment inquiriesSupport internal audits and provide documentation as requestedExport Clerk DutiesAssist in preparing export documentation, in compliance with U.S. export regulations.Maintain organized export files and shipment recordsFlag potential export compliance issues for review by managementRequired QualificationsBachelors Degree (or Associate's degree plus 2 years experience in accounting, business, or logistics a plus)Basic understanding of accounting principles and willingness to learnStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesClear written and verbal communication skillsAbility to handle sensitive financial and shipping information professionallyPreferred Qualifications (Not Required)Coursework or internship experience in accounting, finance, or logisticsExposure to accounts receivable and accounts payableFamiliarity with shipping terms or export documentationInterest in international trade, logistics, or complianceProfessional development opportunities in a fast-growing companyFull company benefits packagePaid personal time offPaid sick leaveHow to ApplyTo apply for this position, please send an email with a brief summary about yourself, salary requirements, and resume attached to careers@pai-inc.com.
