The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for consistently and accurately managing core, rules-based HR compliance and administrative functions, with a strong attention to detail. This role supports workforce compliance by overseeing I-9 and immigration document tracking, as well as supporting OJT, EEO, and AAP compliance efforts, ensuring records are audit-ready. In addition, this role supports benefits administration and eligibility utilizing Employee Navigator and other benefit systems.Skills and Qualifications:Organized with a strong attention to detailAbility to exercise judgment and discretion in maintaining confidential and sensitive informationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize across multiple tasks to meet deadlinesAbility to act with integrity and professionalismMust be a team playerAbility to travel to job sites (at least 10%) Education:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferredSHRM-CP certification a plusExperience:3+ years of progressive HR Operations, HR Compliance, or HR Administration experience in a structured, compliance‑driven environmentHands‑on experience managing I‑9, E‑Verify, EAD, and immigration‑related documentation, including tracking expiration dates, reverifications, and audit readinessDemonstrated experience handling a high volume of EADs or work authorization records, with strong attention to accuracy and deadlinesExperience supporting compliance and reporting, preferably in a government contractor or regulated industry environmentBenefits administration experience, including eligibility management and employee data maintenanceStrong records management experience, ensuring HR documentation is organized, confidential, and audit‑ready at all timesEssential Functions:Administer and maintain employment eligibility compliance by managing I‑9, E‑Verify, EAD, and other immigration‑related documentation, with particular attention to timely tracking, reverification, and audit readinessMonitor and manage a high volume of Employment Authorization Documents (EADs), ensuring renewal deadlines are tracked and documented accurately to maintain workforce authorizationSupport ongoing EEO and Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) compliance efforts, including job posting audits, documentation maintenance, and record organizationCoordinate and support semi‑annual EEO/AAP and compliance‑related training activities, including scheduling, tracking attendance, and maintaining supporting documentationPrepare and organize documentation for internal and external audits related to EEO, AAP, immigration, and workforce compliance requirementsSupport OJT Program compliance by maintaining records, tracking participation, and assisting with required reporting and documentation submissionsAdminister benefits eligibility and enrollment processes through Employee Navigator, ensuring accurate employee data, timely updates, and eligibility complianceMaintain accurate HR records and documentation in accordance with federal, state, and company requirements while ensuring confidentiality and data integrityApply HR policies, regulations, and compliance standards consistently in a structured, detail‑oriented manner to minimize organizational riskSupport project work and other general HR tasks as neededOur ValuesWagman’s Core Values of integrity, mutual respect, safety, innovation, sense of urgency, and community are an integral part of every decision and every plan made at Wagman and these values have laid the foundation for our success and longevity for our past, present, and future.Consistently being recognized with national and regional awards for projects, safety and community is a testament of our commitment to these values.
