We aim to be the first to do the right thing at the right time.Join the home for entrepreneurs!The Sr. Accounting Specialist is responsible for acting as a finance expert and trusted partner to the Head of Accounting. The role provides day‑to‑day expertise in financial accounting, management reporting, governance, and cross‑functional financial support. They ensure the integrity, transparency, and consistency of financial information and support decision‑making across the organization.Your role in our teamAssist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes ensuring accuracy and compliance with HGB/IFRS/local GAAP and corporate policyReview accounting entries, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet reconciliationsEnsure high‑quality financial statements and management accounts including commentary on key movements and risksSupport consolidation, intercompany accounting, and statutory reportingServe as liaison to banks and audit firmsPrepare and review management reporting including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and cost center performanceEnsure alignment between statutory accounting and management reportingProvide senior‑level financial insights including variance and trend analysisAct as guardian of financial governance, policies, and internal controlsCoordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of findingsMonitor compliance with accounting standards, corporate guidelines, and legal regulationsIdentify financial risks and control gaps and implement corrective actionsAct as senior finance partner for operations, procurement, HR, projects, and corporate financeProvide solid guidance to non‑finance teams on accounting treatments and implicationsCollaborate with international finance teams ensuring consistent accounting practicesSupport ERP‑related finance processes (SAP preferred) including optimization and standardizationParticipate in finance transformation, digitalization, and process automation initiativesDrive continuous improvement in workflows, documentation, and reporting qualitySupport change management and adoption of new systemsMaintain a clean and safe work areaShow a strong eagerness to learn and a positive attitude everydayWork on special projects as neededTake responsibility across divisions for assigned tasks and topicsYour profileBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance8+ years progressive experience in finance and accountingHands‑on ERP experience (SAP preferred)Professional certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA)Experience in multinational or matrixed organizationsExperience with finance transformation or system implementationStrong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial controlsStrong analytical and communication skillsAbility to partner with and influence stakeholders non‑hierarchicallySolid understanding of technical accounting and reporting principlesLeadership capability with ownership mindset and attention to detailAdvanced MS skillsYour working environment at KörberJoin Körber Pharma, and you will work in an innovative, friendly, and digital environment, providing the opportunity to advance your career.
