Beauty Systems Group, branded as Cosmo Prof or Armstrong McCall stores, along with its direct sales consultants, sell professionally branded products intended for use and resale by salons to retail consumers.About the roleWe are seeking an Entry-level Software Engineer to join our IT Finance team. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in Software Engineering and an academic or practical background in Information Technology and exposure to Finance and Accounting processes. The successful candidate will be involved in large-scale transformation programs and enhancements/maintenance of existing finance applications. The candidate will work on designing, building, enhancing and maintaining financial applications like Oracle ERP, EPM, Sales Audit etc. The candidate will work closely with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and cross-functional IT teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions that support critical financial processes.Responsibilities60%Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications supporting Finance IT systemsAssist in building and enhancing financial applications, reports, and data integrationsWrite clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following development standardsParticipate in system upgrades, enhancements, and bug fixes for finance-related platformsFollows company development standards specific to the team.Responsible for unit testing their codes, involved in code review process and documenting their development work25%Collaborate with finance users to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutionsSupport data validation, reconciliation, and audit requirements for financial systemsContribute to automation of finance processes (reporting, controls, reconciliations, workflows)10%Individuals should be able to collaborate with the team and proactively work with the Dev Lead and Architect to identify areas for optimization5%Comply with existing documentation requirements required for the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Knowledge, skills & abilities requirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems.
