Junior Structural Engineer

Reference: SEEKING STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS TY Engineering And Design is currently seeking structural engineers for our various ongoing residential/commercial projects. Office Location: Manhattan Beach, CA Excellent opportunity for junior engineers to gain hands-on engineering experience in a growing small business environment. Services Needed: Performing structural engineering drawings and structural engineering calculations required by the review agencies for various residential/commercial projects. Familiarity with wood, concrete design Familiarity for current building standards and codes Preparing engineering plans and details General review and quality control of structural drawings. Setting up project sheets with correct scale per the project requirements. Minimum Requirements: Familiarity with AutoCAD 2010 using layers, external references (XREFs), plotstyles. Familiarity with the general construction standards of buildings, structural connections and detailing. Math skills including geometry. Should be self-motivated, creative, have strong and effective communication, have organizational skills and a keen interest in the structural engineering profession. Minimum Education: College level education with an emphasis on civil/structural engineering Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour Benefits: Paid time off Schedule: 8 hour shift Education: Bachelor's (Preferred) License/Certification: Employment Authorization In The USA (Required) Willingness to travel: 25% (Preferred) Work Location: In person
