Electro-Mechanical Assembler

DescriptionResponsible for the accurate assembly of electrical / mechanical products following and adhering to assembly procedures, process plans, and all other related company policies/procedures.RequirementsMajor Responsibilities:Reads and interprets process plans, specifications, procedures, prints and policiesSolders electrical components onto circuit boards using hand processesAssembly of small precision parts and components per applicable instructions and generally accepted practicesParticipates in continuous improvement activities Operate computer and applicable software in order to test assemblies and document results Provide warranty, rework and repair functions per applicable instructionsMaintain correct time reporting and accurate entries on manufacturing and inspection recordsComplies with company quality and safety requirementsMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent Minimum CompetenciesAbility to handle small delicate partsAbility to follow assembly procedures/processesMechanical aptitudePreferred QualificationsPrior experience in soldering and assemblyPreferred CompetenciesTraining in LEAN ManufacturingBasic computer experience in word processing programs for the documentation of work completed.Operational Details / Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a shop environment with moving machinery. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some lifting is required.
