TITLE: Child Nutrition and Transportation Bookkeeper/ Administrative AssistantQUALIFICATIONS: The administrative assistant/bookkeeper shall possess a demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities and other such alternatives as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.REPORTS TO: Child Nutrition and Transportation DirectorsJOB GOAL: To assist in the administration of the school's business affairs so as to provide the maximum services for the financial resources available.Performance ResponsibilitiesMaintains time and attendance records, including leave, time sheets, etc., for all school staff and substitutes.Maintains a complete and systematic set of records, including processing requisitions/purchase orders, receiving and distributing received goods, and requesting /processing payments of all financial transactions of the school.Records details of the school's financial transactions in appropriate journals and subsidiary ledgers from such sources as requisitions, purchase orders, fundraiser requests, etc.Prepares financial statements, income statements, and cost reports to reflect the financial condition of the school.Traces errors and records adjustment to correct charges or credits posted to incorrect amounts.Receives, receipts, counts, and deposits all monies daily.Balances and reconciles separate bank accounts and prepares financial reports for presentation to the business manager at PSD Central Office monthly.Maintains a shared Google spreadsheet containing budgetary amounts in various accounts.Performs all of the usual office routines and practices associated with a busy and productive, smoothly run office.Conducts him/herself professionally while dealing with students, staff, parents, and other community members at all times.Participates in and completes the approved district Staff Development Program.Respects the confidentiality of information coming and going through the Bus Barn offices.Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the immediate supervisor may assign from time to time.Demonstrates a commitment to professional growth.Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills.Maintains appropriate professional appearanceDemonstrates regular attendance and punctuality.Term Of EmploymentTwelve-month position. Salary and work year to be established by the Superintendent and approved by the Board of Trustees on an annual basis.
