Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Test Development) - (USC/GC Only)Pay Rate: $65 to $85/Hr (DoE)Duration: 12 monthsLocation: Austin, TX (Onsite)Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMWe are looking for an Electrical Engineer (Test Development) who supports both R&D and manufacturing. Products supported include Intelliblade (microwave ablation) and cryotherapy systems for cancer treatment.Performing electrical design activities, including, but not limited to, component selection, circuit design/simulation, prototype evaluation, unit-level testing, lifecycle testing, system integration testing, drawing/document creation and modification.Test electrical components.Creates electrical models and tolerance analyses to simulate electrical design concepts.Execution of Engineering Change Orders within SAP for hardware, firmware, and embedded software components.Continuously improving quality by addressing manufacturing and field non-conformities through troubleshooting and root cause analysis with the use of electrical test equipment and custom test setsIdentifies and selects components, materials, parts, and semi-products appropriate for electrical system design.Calculates and creates final layout, including documentation and specification for parts, assemblies, or finished products.Maintains technical product files.Upgrades the design of existing devices by adding electrical elementsRequirements:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering7+ years of relevant experience in the design and manufacturing of custom electrical assemblies in a regulated environment, with medical device experience is a plus.Strong electrical design skills with schematic and engineering analysis capabilities.Strong background in test engineering, test development, and practical hands-on workExcellent written, verbal, and organizational skills, including maintaining thorough and accurate engineering documentation required for medical devices, and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of engineering and management.Outstanding interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional internal and external teammates in the mechanical, software, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and service organizations.Self-motivated and detail-oriented to produce high-quality results in a timely fashion.Understanding of electronic assembly fabrication and manufacturing processes with experience collaborating with contract manufacturing suppliers for new product introduction (NPI).Knowledge of best practices for design for manufacturing, serviceability, and reliability.
