About the Job The Material Handler is responsible for maintaining, organizing, verifying, and transporting materials and supplies per production schedule/orders. The Material Handler is responsible for executing all shipping and receiving functions, including loading/unloading trucks and using SAP to transact materials. Responsibilities Conform to all safety guidelines and procedures. Load/unload trucks and store/move materials using a forklift or other equipment. Use SAP to transact materials. Print and apply labels. Sorts and stage items according to production needs. Maintain appropriate documentation. Partner with other departments to determine inflow of materials. Attend production meetings as required. All other duties, as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Previous experience in material handling or warehouse operator role highly preferred Knowledge of SAP is a plus Basic math and computer skills Experience reading and understanding specifications, SOP’s, and other work instructions. Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
