Which would include requirement gathering, data analysis, process modeling, gapanalysis and solution design.The candidate will be responsible for assessing the overall analysis, design, and delivery of assignedbusiness, operational & technical projects as well as recommending the best practices for solutionsbased on business needs.This role as a Sr Systems Analyst will report directly to the Deputy Director of Project Managementand Business Analysis under the IT Strategy and Project Management Unit.This candidate is expected to determine the overall vision of products, managing various backlog itemsand deciding which feature each product will have according to clients’ preferences.Act as liaison between the business stakeholders and the technical team to ensure a cohesive productis delivered.The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Apply business analysis methodologies to gather requirementsReview, analyze and update requirements for completeness and obtain business/stakeholder sign offDevelop and utilize standard templates/ format layouts to accurately and concisely write requirements.Where applicable, develop prototypes of interfaces based on user requirementsCreate process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers &/orproject team.Manage and track the status of the requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefineas necessary.To communicate changes, enhancements and modifications of business requirements -Define thevision for the team’s productManage the product backlog and prioritize them based on changing requirementsDevelop user stories/product backlog itemsMonitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the processLiaise with the product team and end users to deliver updatesParticipate in Scrum meetings and product sprintsPerform user acceptance testing to validate requirements &/or defect managementDefine reporting and alerting requirementsHelp design, document and maintain system processesReport on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations to productteamCommunicate key insights and finding to product teamConstantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better valueto the customer.Assist in the tracking of documentation, including specifications, testing plans,Installation/operational/performance Qualifications, Training Plans, Etc.Facilitate compliance with State and agency policies by developing requirements that will supportthose policies.Provide peer to peer support to other Systems Analyst and Quality Assurance Analyst team members.Assist in creating new business analysis standards and guidelines and in the adoption of new andemerging technologies and practices.COMPUTER ASSOC (SOFTWARE) - 13631Minimum Qualifications A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in computer science or a related computer field and one year of satisfactory full-time computer software experience in computer systems development and analysis, applications programming, database administration, maintenance and support, systems programming, data communications, mainframe development, mobile development, web development and design; or A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of satisfactory full-time computer software experience as described in "1" above; or Education and or/or experience equivalent to "1" or "2" above. College education may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience in "2" above on the basis that 60 semester credits from an accredited college is equated to one year of experience. In addition, 24 semester credits from an accredited college or graduate school in computer science or a related field, or a certificate of at least 625 hours in computer programming from an accredited technical school (post high school), may be substituted for one year of experience.
