Description
We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at a restaurant located within this busy RV resort. The pay for this position is $16.00 per hour plus tips! This role is ideal for someone with prior restaurant experience who is comfortable maintaining food quality and, if necessary, handling both opening and closing duties. You will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals while contributing to a welcoming, relaxed resort atmosphere for guests.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
As necessary, set up the kitchen for daily service, including prep work and station organization
Able to turn on equipment, prep ingredients, and ensure readiness for service
When necessary, closing the restaurant by properly storing food, cleaning, sanitizing, and shutting down equipment
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen at all times
Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
Work efficiently during peak service times while maintaining quality and consistency
Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff and management
Provide friendly, professional service that enhances the guest experience
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED
Previous restaurant cook experience
Must be able to pass the Safe Food Handler Certificate Program within 60 days from date of hire
Demonstrated knowledge of food preparation and presentation
Good communication skills
Professional appearance
Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and internet
