Job#: 3034246Job Description:Systems Engineer 4 - Sys Architecting Requirements & InterfacesLocation: Berkeley, Missouri (Onsite)Employment Type: ContractRole OverviewWe are seeking enthusiastic systems engineers to join a team building the next generation of force-multiplying aircraft. You will work to help design, integrate, and field an autonomous system that extends the reach, survivability, and capability of crewed aircraft. This program blends advanced autonomy, sensor fusion, resilient communications, and mission systems into a high-performance platform, offering a rare opportunity to apply and grow systems-engineering expertise on a program that will define the future of air combat and coalition operations.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport or lead system architecture development and decomposition using MBSE (SysML/Cameo) to define interfaces, functions, and allocation across multiple domains.Support or lead cross-functional engineering teams in developing systems to meet program commitments, including support of design reviews.Support or lead the program in implementing MBSE as part of a broad digital engineering ecosystem.Support or lead Systems Engineering efforts such as requirements decomposition, system architecture, system analysis, specification development, trade studies, and program planning.Manage interfaces, risk, certification planning and execution, verification and test planning, and overall integration, capturing them in the MBSE model as appropriate.Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.Experience: 7+ years of work-related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years of work-related engineering experience with a relevant Master’s or PhD.Technical Skills: Prior Systems Engineering experience including system design, functional decomposition, requirements development, analysis, verification, and validation. Experience with MBSE, Cameo/MSOSA, and/or SysML is required.Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated experience developing system architectures for complex aerospace vehicles or subsystems using MBSE (SysML/MSOSA).Prior leadership in system architecture or lead systems engineering roles, including experience communicating architectural tradeoffs to stakeholders.Understanding of various engineering analyses, including affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, and human systems integration.Familiarity with aircraft/flight systems and domain-specific engineering (ME, EE, SW) to evaluate integration impacts.Travel RequirementsTravel may be required up to 10% of the time, both domestically and internationally, depending on business needs.We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.Apex uses a virtual recruiter as part of the application process.
