Design Manager (Data Centres)US-based | Travel to Texas Sites | Hybrid FlexibilityI’m working with a well-funded, high-growth infrastructure company building next-generation hyperscale data centres to support cutting-edge AI systems.They’re hiring s Design Manager, a critical hire who will shape how large-scale facilities are designed and delivered from the ground up.What you’ll be doing• Acting as the bridge between customers, engineering teams, and vendors• Owning the end-to-end design process across MEP, structural, and architectural disciplines• Leading design coordination, resolving conflicts, and ensuring buildability• Managing RFIs, design changes, and technical documentation• Playing a key role in customer-facing technical discussions• Building and scaling the design function as projects expandWhat they’re looking for• Strong experience in data centres / mission-critical / hyperscale projects• Ability to confidently say “this will work / this won’t” in complex design environments• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, startup-style environment• Someone who combines technical depth with strong communication / stakeholder skillsWhy this role?• First hire in design – real ownership and impact• Backed by significant funding and scaling rapidly• Opportunity to influence multiple large-scale builds from early stages• High visibility role working closely with senior leadershipLocation & TravelThis role is flexible on location within the US, but will require regular travel to project sites in Texas (including periodic on-site work during key phases).Candidates should be comfortable with travel as part of the role.
