Our team conducts thorough examinations to pinpoint issues and save valuable time and money while delivering personalized and comprehensive service.Role DescriptionThe Industrial Maintenance Mechanic keeps production moving by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment on site at client facilities. This role blends hands-on mechanical and electrical skill with sharp problem-solving instincts to minimize downtime and keep operations safe and efficient.Technicians perform routine preventive maintenance, respond to equipment failures, and support improvement projects that boost reliability and throughput. The work often involves diagnosing issues with conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and facility systems.Essential DutiesPerform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Troubleshoot production equipment by identifying faults, analyzing root causes, and applying effective solutions to restore functionality and minimize downtime.Respond quickly to equipment failures, diagnose root causes, and implement lasting solutions.Partner closely with production teams to resolve equipment concerns and maintain workflow.Document maintenance activities, parts usage, and repairs in alignment with JC Mectec and our customers standards.Recommend improvements that enhance reliability, efficiency, or safety.Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all JC Mectec and/or customer safety protocols.Identify potential hazards and communicate concerns promptly.Support inspections, audits, and equipment verifications as needed.Stay current on machinery updates, new technologies, and modern maintenance techniques.Participate in required certifications and skill-building opportunities (CNC, welding, maintenance-specific, etc.).Requirements3+ years experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or similar fieldsStrong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsAbility to read schematics, technical manuals, and equipment diagramsStrong troubleshooting skills under time pressureAbility to work independently and as part of a teamHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plusCertifications: OSHA 10, HAZWOPER, Lockout Tagout, or First Aid are a plus (or willingness to earn them).Physical Requirements & Work EnvironmentStanding and walking for extended periodsBending, climbing, kneeling, and reaching as neededAbility to lift up to 50 lbsExposure to noise, fumes, chemicals, and welding environmentsSchedule & Compensation$25.00 – $32.00/hr | 40–50 hrs/week | $52K–$83K+ earning potential annually3rd Shift - for those who prefer to work independently with less oversight and more focusAll PPE provided, we take care of what keeps you safeRetirement plan, we're building something here, and we want you building tooPaid sick time, because life happensSkills training & certification support, we invest in growing your tradeCompany DescriptionJC Mectec was founded by Jamilo Carvalho, a Senior Industrial Mechanic with over 30 years of hands-on experience at companies like PepsiCo/Frito-Lay, Concord Foods, and Naiad Dynamics.
