JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Using the proper sized bushing, mount the blade on the machine.
Ensure that the proper face angle is going to be ground on the blade (straight face, shear face, etc) by tipping the fixture that the blade sits on.
Set the hook angle to desired hook.
Spark one tip and adjust hook if necessary.
Grind the remaining tips on the blade.
Visually inspect the entire blade for dullness, wavy faces, thick and thin, etc.

Work Environment
This job operates in a machine shop environment. This role routinely uses calipers and straight edges.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Long periods of standing. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Sealed safety glasses shall be worn during this process as well as cut resistant gloves.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 11:00p.m.
