Sr. Accounting & Logistics Analyst
Duties And ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial OperationsMaintain the general ledger and prepare recurring and ad hoc journal entries.Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and subsidiary ledgers on a monthly basis.Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Process accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments and customer invoicing.Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.Support audits and tax filings by preparing schedules, documentation, and analyses.Transportation, Logistics & Pricing SupportEnsure accuracy of weekly invoicing to customers for logistics services.Provide financial and analytical support for transportation and logistics operations, including outbound freight programs.Support pricing strategies through rate tools, cost models, and margin analysis in collaboration with Finance and Operations.Monitor freight costs and operational KPIs to ensure alignment with financial and service goals.Analytics, Reporting & Business IntelligenceDevelop, maintain, and own dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) that track financial and operational performance.Analyze data to identify trends, variances, risks, and improvement opportunities.Present clear, actionable insights to leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.Project Management & Process OptimizationLead and coordinate internal logistics, finance, and operations initiatives from planning through execution.Manage timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables across multiple departments.Audit workflows, document SOPs, and implement process improvements to drive consistency and efficiency.Support change management efforts to ensure adoption and compliance at the field level.Required Skills And AbilitiesStrong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial controls.Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., Dynamics) and Microsoft Excel; Power BI experience preferred.Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.Strong project management and organizational skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly.High ownership mentality with the ability to collaborate across departments and organizational levels.Education And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, logistics, or related operational roles preferred.Physical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Ability to travel approximately 25–40% to operational sites, warehouses, or field locations as needed.Comfortable working in both office and field/warehouse environments.Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
