Database Developer / Admin - Texas Locals Only

Description: Client is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to support a large-scale data environment. The role covers enterprise database administration, data warehousing, ETL, performance tuning, security, data modeling, recovery, and end-user support.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister, monitor, secure, and tune enterprise databases; ensure data integrity, backup, recovery, and availability.Design and maintain data warehouses/data marts, including Star, Snowflake, and normalized schemas.Gather business requirements and perform logical/physical data modeling and database design.Develop and manage ETL/data integration processes and support enterprise data pipelines.Maintain data dictionaries, database standards, test environments, and DBMS installations/configurations.Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders on database changes and data integration.Support reporting/analytics environments and applicable EIR accessibility standards.Provide technical/user support and communicate findings and recommendations effectively.Required QualificationsMinimum 5 years of hands-on experience in ALL of the following:Data warehouse/data mart design, implementation, ETL, data sourcing, transformation, loading, and optimization.Enterprise ETL tools such as Informatica, IBM WebSphere DataStage, or equivalent.Enterprise databases such as Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, or equivalent.Reporting/analytics tools such as Business Objects, Cognos, Hyperion, MicroStrategy, or equivalent.SQL development and database/query performance tuning.Business Objects and data dictionary development.Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.Preferred SkillsOracle Database: 5+ years advanced administration/architecture experience.Power BI: 5+ years reporting/dashboard experience.
