Supervisor - Wellness Shelter (1st Shift)

Elenas Way, a Preble Street Wellness Shelter, provides shelter and intensive services to 40 individuals experiencing homelessness and complex physical and mental health needs, in a 24-hour trauma-informed environment grounded in social work and medical best practices. A 1st shift Supervisor position is currently available in this service-inclusive, client-centered shelter program. As a member of the collaborative management team, the Supervisors responsibilities include supervising the 1st shift direct service team, overseeing casework and supportive services, leading program activities, providing program coverage and direct services to clients and tenants, and performing administrative and management tasks in support of the program. The schedule for this position is Tuesday-Saturday 8:00am-4:30pm. Qualifications include a bachelors degree with 3 to 5 years relevant, related experience leading a team, or a comparable combination of education, training, and work experience. Experience working with people experiencing homelessness and mental health and substance use disorders are also required qualifications. Additional requirements include the ability to lead, supervise, and direct the work of direct service staff; strong communication, de-escalation, and crisis intervention skills; ability to work with and maintain professional boundaries with diverse populations; understanding of and alignment with Preble Streets mission; and commitment to providing low-barrier, high-quality services with a trauma-informed, harm-reduction approach. Compensation and Benefits The hourly rate of pay for this full-time (40 hours/week) position is $28.72 per hour.
