Quality Technician
Quality TechnicianThe Quality Technician performs basic quality techniques on materials, processes, and products to ensure quality standards are met.Essential Functions And Responsibilities:Perform in-process and final inspections on products to determine conformance with applicable specifications and workmanship standardsInspect and test: materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure specifications are metEnsure services and products comply with customer requirements prior to release of product/service to customerReview and maintain accurate quality records per internal, AS9100, and Nadcap requirementsAid with projects related to research and development, production technology, continual improvement, and quality controlAssist with drafting and releasing work instructions and other required documentation to productionEnsure test equipment is calibrated and working correctlyIdentify possible areas for improvement in quality control processesExercise care and safety in the use of equipment and tools required to complete assigned tasksUse personal protective equipment as required by the job, including but not limited to the wearing of safety shoes, gloves, and eye protectionPerform duties safely, responsibly, and proficiently, observing and complying with all safety and health rules (OSHA, MTI, and MSDS Standards), including safe operation of all equipmentPerform similar or related work as required, directed or as situation dictates and shall exercise any additional powers that are or may be legally conferred upon the position by the Quality Manager or Plant general managerRequirements:Associates degree or Vocational Training or equivalent2+ years' experience as quality inspector or technicianASQ CQT and/or completed coursework in engineering or quality-related programs a plusExperience with AS9001 a plusGood mathematical and problem-solving skillsGood written and oral communication skillsAbility to read and understand blueprints & drawings, specifications, and other technical documentsProficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookAbility to work collaboratively with other staff, vendors, and customersOrganized and detail-oriented with strong level of accuracyAbility to prioritize and adhere to strict deadlinesHigh level of integrity; ability to handle confidential information
