Database Administrator C. AdvancedLocation: Tallahassee, FL 32301ResponsibilitiesPerform daily operational and database administration activities.Plan, design, implement, and support database structures.Assist with the design, development, amendment, and optimization of database schemas.Perform database planning and operational activities across DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, and GIS environments.Conduct database performance monitoring and tuning.Develop and maintain database administration procedures and documentation.Perform SQL code reviews.Support database and warehousing design across multiple platforms and computing environments.Assist in developing an overall data architecture that supports department needs and security standards.Support DB2 for z/OS application integration, performance management, and database administration.Perform DB2 for z/OS upgrades, catalog maintenance, and subsystem point-in-time recovery.Support technical infrastructure implementation planning and coordination.Assist with database and infrastructure activities as requested.Assist with training and mentoring other technical staff.Support verification testing techniques for infrastructure change management.Support Disaster Recovery technical requirements.Required SkillsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field, or equivalent work experience.15 years of combined experience in database administration.Experience with DB2 for z/OS.Experience with SQL Server 2008R2 and 2012.Experience with Oracle 10g and above.Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS application integration, performance management, and database administration.Advanced knowledge of upgrading DB2 for z/OS.Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS catalog maintenance.Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS subsystem point-in-time recovery.Advanced knowledge of JCL.In-depth knowledge of the z/OS integrated platform.In-depth knowledge of CA GEN model management and application object support.In-depth knowledge of ISPF.In-depth knowledge of the ASG Scheduler.In-depth knowledge of COBOL.In-depth knowledge of DB2 for z/OS database monitoring tools.In-depth knowledge of z/OS software monitoring tools.Solid working knowledge of z/OS started task creation and management.Solid working knowledge of IBI z/OS service support.Solid working knowledge of AFOPER commands, RACF, CICS, and IOF.Solid working knowledge of Oracle application integration, performance management, and database administration.Solid working knowledge of MSSQL application integration, performance management, and database administration.Working knowledge of z/OS EXITs and BJS.Working knowledge of Windows Servers.Working knowledge of SSMS, SSRS, and SSIS.Working knowledge of Azure.Knowledge of technical requirements for Disaster Recovery.Knowledge of verification testing techniques for infrastructure change management.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong customer service, decision-making, flexibility, interpersonal, leadership, problem-solving, team-building, and quality assurance skills.
