Below are some key responsibilities of the role.Key ResponsibilitiesDesigning and redesigning PCBs from schematics and design requirements within the Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Designer, and Design Capture softwareCreating drawings, Gerber files, and other documentation for PCB fabrication, assembly, and internal verificationCollaborating with Designers, Mechanical Engineers, and Electrical Engineers to make changes in design and documentationAltering drawings to meet engineering requirements and initiating engineering change ordersServe as an expert in PCB Design and Engineering processes including mentoring one or more PCB DesignersOffer suggestions for PCB Design process improvements and author new procedures.Creating Schematic Symbols, Component Geometries, and Electronic Components using Mentor Graphics Xpedition and PCB Library Expert softwareOther tasks as assignedWhat You Bring To The TableTo perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, and regular attendance is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to support individuals with disabilities.RequiredAssociates degree or bachelor’s degree in Electronics or similar field5+ years of experience with a PCB design software package (Mentor Graphics Xpedition schematic and PCB Design software Release VX.2.0 and later preferred)Familiar with IPC specifications and terminology as it relates to printed circuit board manufacturingBackground with rigid, rigid flex, and flexible PCB designs utilizing multilayer and HDI technologiesExperience with PLM and ERP systemsStrong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with multiple groupsPreferredExperience in setting up and modifying constraints in PCB LayoutHigh speed PCB design experienceExpert with Mentor Graphics suite of PCB toolsWhat To Expect At WorkPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
