Senior ALM / Balance Sheet Risk Manager
OverviewA banking institution is seeking a senior ALM leader to oversee asset liability management, interest rate risk, and balance sheet analytics. This role reports directly to Treasury leadership and manages a team responsible for ALM modeling, forecasting, stress testing, and governance.Job DescriptionThe Senior ALM Manager will lead the bank’s ALM framework, including interest rate risk measurement, balance sheet strategy, deposit analytics, liquidity analysis, and regulatory reporting. This individual will manage the ALM modeling platform, oversee assumptions and data integrity, and present insights to senior leadership and governance committees.ResponsibilitiesLead ALM modeling, forecasting, and balance sheet performance analysisMeasure interest rate risk through EVE, NII simulations, sensitivity testing, and scenario analysisManage ALM model assumptions, documentation, back-testing, governance, and validation supportPrepare ALCO materials and present balance sheet risk insights to senior leadershipAnalyze deposit behavior, including betas, decay rates, and customer trendsSupport liquidity, earnings, capital, and enterprise-wide stress testing initiativesPartner with Treasury, FP&A, and Risk on funding strategy, capital planning, FTP, and investment strategyOversee data quality, reporting automation, and ALM system enhancementsLead and develop a team of ALM professionalsRequirements7–10+ years of experience in ALM, Treasury, liquidity management, or financial riskPrior people management experience requiredStrong knowledge of interest rate risk, balance sheet analytics, liquidity risk, and model governanceExperience with EVE, NII, deposit analytics, stress testing, and ALCO reportingALM modeling platform experience preferred; Empyrean experience is a strong plusBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field requiredCFA, FRM, MBA, or related advanced credential preferred
