We specialize in enabling complex communication networks that are critical to the operations of the Department of Defense, Civilian Government and commercial markets.Summary/ObjectiveWe are seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Intern to support drafting and configuration management activities. This role will focus on recreating, updating, and preparing technical drawings for release as controlled documents, as well as supporting part creation and Bill of Materials (BOM) development within our ERP system.The ideal candidate is adaptable, methodical, and comfortable working in an evolving environment where processes and tools may change as project requirements develop.Job ResponsibilitiesDrafting & Drawing Controlo Recreate existing legacy drawings into current standards and formatso Review and mark up drawings for accuracy, completeness, and release readinesso Prepare drawings for release as controlled documents in accordance with internal procedureso Incorporate redlines and revisions as directed by engineering and configuration managementERP Data Entry & BOM Managemento Create and maintain part records in the ERP systemo Develop and manage Engineering Bills of Materials (eBOMs)o Ensure consistency between drawings, part records, and BOM structureso Support data accuracy and standardization across systemsPDM / ERP Researcho Search ERP and PDM systems to identify existing parts and approved alternateso Avoid duplication by leveraging existing inventory and part recordso Assist in maintaining clean and organized data structuresProcess & Project Supporto Work within evolving processes and contribute to improving workflowso Adapt to changing tools, standards, and methodologies as the project progresseso Support configuration management and engineering teams as neededCustomer & Compliance Support (as applicable)o Assist in preparing documentation aligned with customer requirementso Participate in implementing and following Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)o Interface with internal stakeholders and, when appropriate, external customers Supervisory ResponsibilityNo direct supervisory responsibility of others. Education and ExperienceCurrently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field Job Skills and AttributesBasic understanding of technical drawings and drafting principlesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to follow defined processes while adapting to changeProficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word)Preferred: Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)Preferred: Familiarity with ERP and/or PDM systems (e.g., SolidWorks PDM, SAP, Oracle, etc.)Preferred: Exposure to BOM structures and engineering documentation practicesPreferred: Understanding of revision control and configuration management principles
