This role reports to the Senior Manager, Global Accounting & Reporting and is located in Columbia, MD.In this role, you will play a key part in supporting both business and corporate accounting activities for a global, diversified organization. You’ll work across a broad range of technical accounting areas while collaborating with colleagues across Finance and within the business. This position offers meaningful exposure to complex accounting matters and financial reporting, and will help drive process improvements in a dynamic, fast paced environment. This role is ideal for a motivated accounting professional looking to broaden their technical expertise and grow within a global finance organization.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review quarterly and annual financial statement disclosuresPrepare audit deliverables and work with external audit team to answer any questionsPerform revenue accounting to include analyzing and reviewing customer contractsPerform inventory accounting to include inventory obsolescence and inventory capitalization calculationsReview different business analytics and balance sheet account reconciliationsOversight of corporate debt accounting including researching proper treatment of debt transactionsOversight of hedge and foreign currency accounting, including working with Treasury and third-party service providersOversight of lease accounting including working with colleagues around the world to ensure leases are correctly capturedResearch and apply accounting guidance as directedOther duties as assignedRequired QualificationsB.S.
