EMC Test Engineer (Durham, NC)Job DescriptionApplus+ Keystone, a regulatory compliance test lab located in Durham, NC, is currently seeking candidates for an EMC Test Engineer position. The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent character, and a commitment to producing high-quality work. We are looking for someone who can work independently, is self-motivated, and can manage their time effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstand EMC design theory, including detailed theoretical knowledge in the technical areas of shielding, filtering, grounding, bonding, cabling, gasketing, waveguides, and printed circuit boards.Ability to apply and understand advanced concepts of electrical and/or mechanical nature.Become familiar with applicable standards, company manuals and appropriate technical literature.Ability to use test equipment such as EMI receivers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, RF amplifiers, power meters, B.C.I clamps, CDNs and LISNs with various antennas.Become proficient with TILE software, LabView and other test software.Establish appropriate test programs by reviewing the job folder and applicable standards.Determine compliance with appropriate standards and notify client of any areas in which the product is not in compliance or of any changes in project scope or specifications.Aid the technical report writers in preparation of EMI/EMC test plans, test procedures and test reports.Interpret test results, provide data analysis and summarize results through technical report writing.Review of test reports generated to ensure integrity of report.QualificationsAt least five year of EMC experience.Proficient with MS Office.Be as comfortable working with tools as working on a keyboard.Ability to lift and handle equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods while conducting tests.Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
