Consultant, Sustainability Assurance & Consulting
Description & RequirementsAs a Consultant with the Sustainability Consulting & Assurance group, you will be embarking on an opportunity to engage in and support innovative ESG solutions for a growing client base. You will work with a team to establish ESG data and content collection, engage in validation processes for various stakeholder groups, and generate ESG metrics, reporting, and other communications. This is an emerging, high-growth business initiative with high visibility. We are seeking a high achiever who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and enjoys collaboration and building solutions with other groups to be a trusted advisor to our clients in an evolving market space.What You Will DoCoordinating with clients, co-workers, and partners for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) implementation assurance and reportingCollaborating in establishing data-driven ESG goals, milestones, and metrics as applicable for the client's organizationPerforming sustainability-related assurance procedures such as evaluating and testing processes and related controlsSupporting corporate reporting in line with recognized ESG standards and frameworks such as GHG Protocol, TCFD, GRI, SASB, CDPParticipating in client meetings and assisting in the preparation of reportsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related business discipline1+ year of experience in audit, assurance, accounting, or a related roleWillingness to travel up to 20%Preferred QualificationsCPA license or CPA-eligible1+ year of experience in audit, assurance, accounting, or a related roleExposure to sustainability, climate, or ESG topics through education or professional experience, including familiarity with GHG reporting and sustainability frameworksExperience supporting external financial or sustainability assurance engagementsUnderstanding of, or experience with, ESG or sustainability reporting tools and softwareFundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) credential or progress toward completionPrior experience in a consulting environment or in an internal sustainability, ESG, or reporting roleAbout Forvis Mazars, LLPForvis Mazars, LLP is an independent member of Forvis Mazars Global, a leading global professional services network. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave.
