iCode STEM Camp Instructor – Coding, Game Dev & Robotics (Part-Time)

Part-Time Position | School Year Do you love technology and enjoy working with kids? iCode Mt. Pleasant is looking for energetic, reliable instructors to teach our after-school Belt Program. Our belt system provides students with a structured pathway through coding, robotics, game development, web design, drones, AI, and other emerging technologies. Whether you're experienced in programming or simply passionate about technology and willing to learn, we'll provide the curriculum, training, and support you need to be successful. Schedule This position is primarily for our Belt Program during the school year: Weekdays: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Additional opportunities are available for: Friday evening events Saturday night events Sunday afternoon workshops, birthday parties, and special events This is an excellent opportunity for college students, recent graduates, teachers, IT professionals, or anyone looking to inspire the next generation of innovators while building valuable teaching and leadership experience. Compensation Pay: $12.00- 20.00 per hour, with opportunities for advancement based on experience, performance, and additional responsibilities. What You'll Teach Our instructors lead hands-on classes in a variety of exciting technology pathways, including: Robotics with VEX IQ Scratch & introductory coding Python programming Roblox Studio Minecraft Education JavaScript & Web Development Unreal Engine Game Development Drone Programming AI tools and prompt engineering 3D Design & Printing Engineering Design Challenges No experience with every platform is required—we provide comprehensive training and curriculum. Key Responsibilities Teach engaging, hands-on technology classes using the iCode curriculum. Prepare for each class using lesson plans provided by iCode. Create a fun, positive, and organized learning environment. Encourage creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving. Help students progress through the iCode Belt Program while building confidence and technical skills. Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents and the Center Director. Maintain classroom equipment, robotics kits, and technology resources. Ensure student safety and maintain high classroom expectations. Represent iCode professionally and provide outstanding customer service to students and families. Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to create an exceptional experience every day. Qualifications Passion for technology and working with children. Experience with coding, robotics, engineering, gaming, or other STEM-related fields is preferred. Programming experience in languages such as Scratch, Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or similar is a plus. Experience with Roblox Studio, Minecraft Education, Unreal Engine, VEX Robotics, drones, or 3D design is beneficial but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Positive attitude with the ability to motivate and engage students. Dependable, organized, and flexible. Ability to manage a classroom while making learning fun. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to continue learning new technologies. Comfortable working with elementary and middle school students. Why Join iCode Mt. Pleasant?
