Procurement Specialist - Forklift Fleet
As a Procurement Specialist, you’ll get to source suppliers and products for our core business operations, fulfilling the task of a buyer negotiating terms with vendors, ensuring adherence to outlined terms and conducting on-going cost analysis to confirm relationships are in the company’s best interests. For this role, we're looking for someone to manage our national fleet of Forklifts!What You'll DoIdentify and interview potential suppliersResearch and negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of products, deadlines, expectations, etc.Develop sourcing lists for various commodities to support the development of requests for informationMust be able to develop tiered vendor KPI’s and hold them accountable to agreementsLiaise with suppliers and operational procurement managers regarding updates and details of goods or services in the pipelineCreate purchase orders and tally these with supply requests and ordersAnalyze invoices to ensure accuracy of goods deliveredMonitor inventory to ensure the flow of goods remains positiveAttend meetings and provide cost analysis to ensure any contracts are favorable to the companyEnsure venders are sustainable and fully endorsed via our national vendor selection processWork closely with the internal project team to understand the details of procurement requirementsWhat You'll NeedBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline is required; equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree2 - 5 years of experience purchasing commodities and /or services is required specific to a national fleet of forkliftsMust be proficient in basic office software applications (such as Word, Excel, Outlook)Must exercise good judgment in safeguarding confidential or sensitive information and adhere to high standards of confidentiality and honestyAbility to Identify problems, analyze alternatives, and develop viable recommendationsWhat We OfferCompetitive Pay, Holiday Pay, and Daily Pay – Access to your earned wages before payday!
