Regional Director
Job Title: Regional Director of Rehabilitation Job Overview: The Regional Director of Rehabilitation is responsible for overseeing the rehabilitation services within a specified region. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively manage a team of therapists and ensure quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience in both clinical and administrative settings and be able to balance the demands of both. Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the operations of the rehabilitation departments in multiple facilities within the region, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. This includes setting and monitoring goals and objectives for the department, and identifying areas for improvement. Hire, train, and manage a team of rehabilitation therapists, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists. The Regional Director of Rehabilitation will provide regular supervision, feedback, and coaching to the team, and ensure their professional development. Develop and implement programs and initiatives that improve patient outcomes and satisfaction. This may include developing evidence-based treatment protocols, implementing innovative therapy techniques, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve care coordination. Monitor and analyze clinical metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed. This includes monitoring patient outcomes, therapy utilization, and staff productivity, and using data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with facility administrators and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure the highest quality of service. The Regional Director of Rehabilitation will work closely with facility leadership to ensure that rehabilitation services are integrated into the overall care delivery model, and that the rehabilitation team is aligned with the goals and priorities of the facility. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including patients, families, and referral sources. This includes attending meetings with families and referral sources to ensure that rehabilitation services meet their needs, and building a reputation for excellence in rehabilitation services within the region. Manage department budgets and ensure financial targets are met or exceeded. The Regional Director of Rehabilitation will be responsible for creating and managing department budgets, monitoring expenses, and identifying opportunities to improve financial performance. Stay up-to-date with industry developments, trends, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge. This includes attending conferences and professional development opportunities, and sharing knowledge with the rehabilitation team to ensure that they are up-to-date on the latest research and techniques in rehabilitation. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy. A Master's degree in a related field is preferred. Current licensure as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Therapist. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in rehabilitation therapy, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of settings, such as acute care, subacute care, and outpatient settings. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. The Regional Director of Rehabilitation must be able to effectively lead and motivate a team of therapists, and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders. Ability to travel to multiple locations within the region. The Regional Director of Rehabilitation will need to be able to travel to multiple facilities within the region to oversee operations and meet with stakeholders. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards. The Regional Director of Rehabilitation must have a strong understanding of state and federal regulations related to rehabilitation services, and ensure that the department is in compliance with these requirements. Proficient in using computer software, such as electronic medical records and productivity tracking tools. The Regional Director of Rehabilitation must be comfortable using technology to manage and monitor department operations.
