Overview:
We seek a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will ensure the cleanliness and sterility of medical instruments and equipment used in healthcare facilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient healthcare environment.
Details:
Title: Sterile Processing Technician
Location: Edison
Duration: 13 weeks (Extendable)
Shift: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. 8 hours. 40 hours a week.
Pay Rate: Competitive salary + Benefits package + Bonus
Requirements:
Minimum 1-2 years of recent Acute Care experience.
Active HSPA or CBSPD license.
Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
Experience in sterile processing and aseptic technique.
Proficiency in inventory management within a healthcare setting.
Experience with all service specialties; Neuro, Ortho, Vascular, General, Robotics, Plastics, GYN, & ENT.
Responsibilities:
Inspect, assemble, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment following established protocols.
Maintain accurate records of processed items and ensure proper documentation.
Adhere to strict aseptic techniques to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to meet instrument needs for surgical procedures.
Monitor and manage inventory levels to support seamless healthcare operations.
Uphold quality control standards in sterile processing procedures.
Participate in continuous training to stay updated on industry best practices.
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; certification in sterile processing is preferred.
Proven experience working in a sterile processing department within a healthcare facility.
Familiarity with various sterilization methods and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
