Distribution Operations Lead

About the Role As a Distribution Operations Lead, you will oversee the end-to-end fulfillment cycle to ensure seamless order processing and high-level operational efficiency. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing workflow systems and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet critical delivery timelines. Responsibilities Direct daily fulfillment operations, including product assembly, order collation, and final shipment manifesting. Drive process improvements by analyzing department metrics to enhance throughput and reduce operational bottlenecks. Coordinate production schedules to ensure all customer commitments and service level agreements are met. Implement and refine departmental policies to foster a culture of accuracy and accountability. Lead the evaluation and integration of automated picking technologies to modernize warehouse workflows. Manage freight logistics and shipping strategies to optimize delivery costs for the organization and our clients. Oversee comprehensive training programs to ensure team proficiency and adherence to safety and quality standards. Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to ensure seamless communication and project alignment. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity within a fulfillment or warehouse environment. Strong background in packaging operations and logistics management. Demonstrated ability to analyze performance data and implement actionable process improvements. Proficiency in managing workflow software and reporting tools. Preferred Skills Experience evaluating and deploying automated order management or picking systems. Strong understanding of freight expense management and carrier service optimization. Excellent leadership skills with a focus on staff development and training.
